Undergraduate researchers are important contributors to the Apple Tree Project.
What historical discoveries can an undergraduate research assistant make in a semester? And can that journey of historical discovery and personal development contribute to an academic research project?
As the apple trees are now in flower we are thinking about the fruit to come! Over the next few weeks we will post about the most widely planted apple trees in Boulder’s orchards in the 1920s.
The Boulder Apple Tree Project was featured at Arcana Restaurant in Boulder as part of the Haykin Family Cider special release event. At this event, the Haykin family unveiled a series of craft ciders made from heritage apples trees in Boulder.
The first ever Apple Tree Bridge Program is open for enrollment by interested Front Range Community College Students who intend to transfer to any four-year school in 2019.
Lisa Corwin and Katie Suding have received a National Science Foundation Improving Undergraduate STEM Education Grant, aimed at engaging students as active citizens and scientists within their community.
